About On-Floor Membership

Engineering House is occupied by individuals involved or interested in any engineering-related field and those who have a sincere interest in living in the House, assuming responsibility for its facilities, and promoting the goals of the House.

Every quarter, on-floor members evaluate each member based on their contributions to the House. This process is used to ensure that every member of the House participates in house functions and upholds his/her responsibilities as a House member.

If you are an incoming freshman interested in living on-floor, submit an application to RIT Housing Operations. A House selection committee chaired by the Freshmen Representative will select members based on our selection criteria.

About Off-Floor Membership

Any RIT student may become an off-floor member of Engineering House. Off-floor members are welcome to participate in all House events, meetings, and gatherings. Off-floor members also receive access to the House and its facilities.

An Off-Floor Cabinet Representative will keep off-floor members updated on Engineering House information.

Tours/Questions

Engineering House provides tours to prospective RIT students and their families at many of the major RIT open houses. One of our members will give you a 10 minute guided tour of our facilities and provide information about student life at Engineering House and RIT.
